The Challenges Before the Inner Planning Circle

The Inner Planning Circle has now held and concluded its first series of meetings over Email. The inner planning circle is the group responsible for the overall practical management and coordination of the Compassion Response Network. It will make policy decisions, and decisions of financial management, and will be responsible for the development of new projects of compassionate response to humanity's need, and coordination and networking of men and women of goodwill, inviting them to participate in these projects according to their talents and areas of interest.

On October 25, with the launch of my healing website, a vision was globally disseminated throughout the world, for organising a compassion response to humanity's various needs. This is such a vast task that it is easy to simply become overwhelmed and impotent. And yet there exists a scientific approach towards anchoring such visionary work. The vision first needs to become assimilated by an inner "esoteric circle", who accept inner tension for sacrificing their lives in the fulfilling of this vision, so that that which was formerly theory, becomes eventually transformed into practice. Next, the inner planning circle must translate this vision into opportunities for practical service that can be clearly understood by and responded to by men and women of goodwill throughout the world. All this takes time, as the work must proceed step by step.

One of the first challenges before the inner planning circle is to decide how to conduct its own meetings over email, how to establish its proper role as a planning circle. The inner planning circle is that group which transforms the intuitively held vision onto the objective level. It has an anchoring role, bringing the subjective work into an organisational structure. How then do members of the inner planning circle relate to each other, in a way that retains their esoteric or inner sensitivity to the vision, and yet also anchors group purpose or vision onto the physical level?

There is a scientific approach already developed for bringing higher vision down to earth into an organisational structure, in which each participant in the planning group has equal value and contribution, having the right to be heard and their views taken into account. That approach is called the sociocratic method. John Buck and Marielle Jansen, both founding members of the inner planning circle, each have much experience with sociocracy, and they are teaching the remainder of the group how to do it.

More will be shared about sociocracy in later circulars. Suffice to say that our first series of meetings were an intense learning experience for us all, in which we discovered a pathway of integrating as a group and making objective decisions. For the moment, let us focus upon the decisions made during the first series of meetings.

Names

Names have much power and influence, and right from the start it is vital that we are agreed upon the names we are using. Three names were discussed during this first series of meetings.

    1. We agreed that the name for our global organisation be called the "Compassion Response Network". "Compassion" seems to be the element that anchors goodwill teachings. The most beautiful teachings remain theory unless they are drawn compellingly into manifestation. Compassion is the energy that does this. It embraces both spirit and practical activity, and is motivated by the awakened heart rather than the separative mind. "Response" implies the fully extended, vibrant link between invocative humanity in acute need, and the overshadowing God-Presence embracing perfect and infinite Love. The challenge is ever to facilitate automatic responsiveness between these two levels of consciousness. We identify with the needs of the suffering, and become that compassionate response. "Network" suggests an integrated group in which the various members within that group automatically are attracted to their own part in the One Work. There exists a two-way communication within the network on both soul and practical levels. The entire network is vitalised by a meditation of synthesis in which the members easily identify with each other and with invocative humanity.
    2. We agreed that the group to make policy decisions within the Compassion Response Network would be called the "Inner Planning Circle". Whereas the men and women of goodwill will become the hands and feet within the Compassion Response Network, members of the inner planning circle must visualise and nurture with their mind and heart, all the manifold needs within the network. This is necessarily a more subjective or "inner" task. The word "planning" refers to organisational planning, thinking as a group or circle about the ideals and objectives of the Compassion Response Network and making those policy decisions that turn the theory into practical agendas. The word "circle" embraces the idea of group participation, but it also adds the element coming from sociocratic practice of "going around the circle" so that every member of that circle has a chance to contribute.
    3. We agreed that the group that holds and develops the vision for the Compassion Response Network, and aspires to fuse and blend subjective attunement to spiritual purpose with objective response through practical compassion activity, be called the "Esoteric Circle". The word "esoteric" embraces the idea of attunement to God's Plan and expression of that Plan through active service.

CRN Circulars

The inner planning circle discussed the Compassion Response Network circulars and agreed to support and continue the initiative.

CRN circulars reflect the role of the secretary, in seeking to integrate and inform and inspire the various levels of membership within the network.

Publication needs to be regular so to maintain interest within the network, and to demonstrate the expanding opportunities for group service. The frequency of publication is directed by whenever there is something substantial and interesting to share. At the moment, circulars are appearing fortnightly.

The objectives of the CRN circulars are;

Decision to Proceed with Registering as an Association

The inner planning circle agreed firstly, that the Compassion Response Network should become a non-profit organisation, and that members cannot derive profits from Compassion Response Network activities It is only through the non-profit ethic, that goodwill and the principle of sharing can flourish to their fullest. Salaries and wages are permitted in a charitable non-profit organisation, as just reward for services rendered.

We agreed to initiate action to register the Compassion Response Network as an international association. We will need to register as an association before the Compassion Response Network can open a bank account in its own name and become a legal entity. Without a bank account we will not be able to cash cheques in the name of "Compassion Response Network".

If the Compassion Response Network wishes to ask the public for money or donations, we must first register as a charitable organisation. We cannot register as a charitable organisation until we are first registered as an association or trust, and we adopt an objective of being non-profit.

We agreed that action to register as an association would take place in the state of Western Australia. In Australia, registration as an association (and as a charitable organisation) is a responsibility of the state governments. The association must be registered before an application is made to become a charitable organisation.

Concern was expressed that definition of membership and rules for decision making needs to be made by our inner planning circle, and not directed by unworkable bureaucratic rules. The regulations for forming an association in Western Australia were examined. It was noted that definitions of membership and decision making processes had to be defined in our association constitutional rules. The Western Australia law however provides great flexibility for the inner planning circle to decide on our own definitions, so to fit the purposes of the Compassion Response Network.

The association would be called the "Compassion Response Network Association", and would be international in its membership and activities.

Transition Management of Compassion Response Network

David Keane presented a comprehensive review of the networking and financial history of East West Network.

After the Compassion Response Network has been registered as an association, members of the inner planning circle will thoroughly discuss future projects for the Compassion Response Network. In the meantime, it was agreed that David Keane as acting secretary should continue the former East West Networking activities of distribution of healing technology (colloidal silver makers and zappers), to the degree that finances permit.

It was pointed out that it takes many years of sacrifice and steady service work to anchor ideas for attracting men and women of goodwill into successful collective group service projects. You need to build the firm esoteric meditative foundations, attune as an esoteric group to the invocative cry of humanity, visualise though a meditation of synthesis the pathway for response, discover the physical mechanisms that will attract the men and women of goodwill to participate in the project, invoke the needed financial arrangements, and then steadily build the Rainbow Bridge energy flow of response that acts as a magnetic attractive force to attract servers of various levels to the One Work.

And so it was that for three years East West Network built the work steadily around the idea of distributing healing technology to servers in poorer countries, so to facilitate a way by which free healing treatment for infectious diseases can be provided to the poor. There are powerful subjective energies involved in this project, and the pathway of manifestation has already been forged.

Due to the closure of East West Network, its activities have now ceased, which is why a request was made for the inner planning circle to endorse and reinvigorate these projects. The inner planning circle has now decided to adopt, re-invigorate and provide funds (where available) for these former East West Network projects. Such projects can therefore become a starting point to attract the active participation of men and women of goodwill into contributing in a practical way in the group enterprises within the Compassion Response Network.

The invocative cry of humanity for free medical treatment, especially in Africa, should be the assurance of the rightness of this choice. We need to start with those healing technologies that have already been demonstrated as being effective. When we have re-established support for these projects, we can then discuss within our inner planning circle, the manifold tasks involved with expanding the types of healing treatments and technologies being networked.

The financial situation of the Compassion Response Network was discussed. At present funds available in the fund amount to Aust$331. This is sufficient to pay for association registration expenses, and a little extra for postage expenses, but not enough to finance the construction of more zappers and colloidal silver makers.

The inner planning circle agreed on the intention to become an association and charitable organisation. It was pointed out however that until we become a charitable organisation, we cannot legally request funds or donations from the public.

David Keane as acting secretary was granted approval to withdraw on CRN funds for approved networking activities provided the fund is not put into debt. He will be asked to provide a monthly financial report to the inner planning circle.

Defining Network Objectives

The decision has been made to initiate action to register as an association, but much work needs to be done before we can become an association.

Firstly, we need to clearly define the main objective and general objectives for the Compassion Response Network. This is a requirement under associations law, but also it is vital for the future spiritual work of the Compassion Response Network, that our objectives are clearly defined and made available to all inquirers. The objectives of our network will inspire the work that later manifests through group service action. We need to get the objectives right, and so consideration of these objectives and their precise wording is the task that the inner planning circle is presently occupying itself with.

Yours in Love and Light,

David Keane
